Today after breakfast, we’ll leave with picnic lunch and drive to Tarangire National Park. It is the third largest park in Tanzania with a diverse geologic landscape, 9 distinct vegetation zones and the world’s largest elephant population. Ancient baobab trees dot the landscape dwarfing the elephants and giraffes that feed beneath them.

After breakfast, we visit an inhabited Maasai village and participate with them in their daily activities, followed by a cultural exchange with the chief and one of his wives. Afterwards we leave with a picnic lunch for a game drive in Lake Manyara National Park. Here we will see many monkeys, numerous species of birds and herds elephants. There is an optional bike riding excursion to the lake through the banana plantation to see the flamingos.

After breakfast we leave with our picnic lunch for Ngorongoro Conservation Area. We descend into the crater for a game drive exploring the short grass plains of the crater floor. This extinct volcano embraces 100 sq miles alive with lions, leopard, rhino, elephant, buffalo, and many other animals. Afterwards possible visit to Olduvai Gorge.

After breakfast, we have a full day on the great plains of the Serengeti, viewing lions, leopard, cheetah, and antelope; sometimes surrounded by herds of wildebeest and zebra. Or we might spend time watching the hippos laze about in cool water alongside crocodiles.

After breakfast, we journey across the open plains to the kopjes; these volcanic rocky out crops provide protection and shelter for a wide variety of animals. From the top we can look across the vast grassland of the Serengeti. This diverse landscape provides us with the ultimate in game viewing, as well as interesting bird life from the elegant secretary birds to the flightless ostrich.

After breakfast we leave for our last early morning game drive en-route to Serengeti Seronera Airstrip. Here we say our goodbyes as you fly to relax in Zanzibar, or to catch your return flight home or to your next adventure.
